Agile Day / Requirements, User Stories and Backlogs with Allan Kelly

May 12, 2016 / Golden Tulip Ana Dome Cluj

In Agile, like traditional software development, work begins with customer requirements. Many Agile teams though work with small User Stories (short stories from the Users) and backlogs (list of what has to be realized, a list of requirements) rather than long documents and detailed specifications.

Interest subjects at our Masterclass:

  • we will look at how Agile teams work with User Stores and multiple backlogs to guide their work.
  • we will look at User Stories, the difference between requirements and specifications, how specification by example and acceptance test criteria are used with stories to add detail, how stories are prioritised and we will consider business benefit, the value of stories, where value comes from and how much each story is worth.
  • we will look at how backlogs can be managed for this sprint, coming sprints and into the distant future.

“This workshop is highly interactive, we will simulate doing Agile requirements work. Participants will get to write stories, critique stories and assign a monetary value to each and every story”, says Allan Kelly.

About Agile Day /

Be AGILE with us! Because the needs of AGILE… outweigh the needs of the many!

AGILE Day is the only agile event in Romania dedicated to IT professionals and provides networking opportunities , discussions on current issues and the impact on IT community. The Agile Development Conference provides a  learning experience, giving you the opportunity to meet with IT professionals and help you and your entire organization to become more agile. Agile helps to bring content into the digital age.

Originally used in product development, agile methods rely on teamwork across disciplines, building prototypes at speed, and continuous testing with users.  An agile project manager relies on discipline, skill, and understanding, while requiring less formality, process, and documentation.

Every year is held in the main cities of Romania: Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, Timisoara.
